Compression garments
Okay, a lot of you know my story, but for those who don't - here it is in a nutshell.
Started out at 5'10", 652 lbs. I'm now 5'11" (Grew an inch in a year at age 38? Probably just able to stand up straight now.
) and 294 lbs. That's a loss of nearly 360 lbs since April of 06.
Granted, 95 lbs of it was from a panus removal, but still - you guys keep telling me to count it. However, that 95 lbs doesn't contribute to the current situation, since it was hacked off of me.
I have droopy skin syndrome. Sharpai Puppy. The Incredible Melting Man.
Mostly - it's my midsection, thighs, and upper arms. Even though my nipples are at my belly button level, that part doesn't bother me so much.
And .. it's not so much a vanity thing with me. I could care less because of how much my health has improved. I knew coming into this that this would be an issue. Big .. not so fat any more .. hairy deal. (on a side note - any one else notice more body hair after surgery?)
For me, it's more of an exercise thing. Walking kind of gets everything swinging and slapping and .. it's just not right.
I've heard you guys talk about compression garments before. I'm looking for something that's going to (pretty much) hold my sh.. stuff in place so I can use the treadmill.
I know of Under Armor .. but that's kind of a creepy website that seems expensive for something I'm most likely to shrink out of in a few months.
Any others? I remember someone mentioning something about a Wal-Mart brand of it, but I haven't been able to find it at our local Wally World.
Thanks!

While Under Armor is more expensive I've found that their material does a better job of wicking the moisture than some of the cheaper brands. Wal-Mart sells off brands and so do most national chain athletic stores. I've used Wal-Mart's brand, BCG which is Academy's brand, Nike and Addidas and I've found that Under Armor does the best job for me. Buy a size smaller than what you are currently wearing and you'll be good to go. I've got the 'old man droopy ass' syndrome and some lose skin around my belly and the compression shorts plus the sleeveless undershirt does the trick for me.

I use the walmart brand, wear them every day. I never could get past the price of under armor. If you want to try them though I would look on ebay. Like was said before I buy one size smaller. I now wear a large in t-shirts so I buy a medium, wearing a 34 or 36 jeans so I buy medium shorts.

I still wear Under Armour even 15 months post op. I swear by them. After extensive shopping this was the least expensive place I found to buy them (including ebay). No sales tax and they offer free shipping atleast once a month. They ship out the same day as the order and seem to arrive very quickly.............. http://www.goldmanbros.com/gc/customer/home.php?cat=100011
