Reality check, slap in the face
Sigh...you're right in that some people just don't think before they make a comment...and I too would have loved to come up with a great answer to just such a "slap"
That all said, think about this. In a few more months, you're gonna be able to look her right in the eye and say sumthin like "hey, you work here -- shouldn't you be a LOT thinner?" or some such comment that will bring it back around to her.
All things, I'm told, do come around....and I hope that you do NOT let this idiot ruin your ride....
And whatta ride it is! Keep on losing bigAl....and you'll soon be lilAl!!!

Anyone who has been dedicated enough to lose a quarter of a ton...I bow down to you sir. I understand the feeling I say wow I've almost lost a hundred lbs yet I am not even close to being out of the obese range...I just smile when someone says you are getting slim even though I know slim is relative ofcourse to where I started.
Not-so-Big Al,
You're still one of my heroes. Don't let an ignoramus ruin everything you've worked so hard for.
I'm so proud of the way you handled it. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself and reaching for the ho-ho's, burying your azz in the sofa and phoning Domino's- you hit the keyboard, let it all hang out to your bro's in the locker room, and resolved to work even harder in the gym. THAT'S PROGRESS MY FRIEND!!!!
The world is always going to be full of ******** Unfortunately the medical community hasn't been able to treat that as effectively as obesity. We all need to handle these situations without food to soothe ourselves. It sounds to me as if you've learned that lesson. Congrats, my friend. Keep fighting the good fight. Victory is in sight.

YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I attended my nieces Weigh****chers meeting where they highlighted her accomplihment for losing 140 lbs!!! Great for her. While there I ran into her grandmother from the inlaws side. She said" Well you see Traci lost all that weight , so when are you going to get with the program" BTW I had lost 95 lbs when she asked. I told her you know if you would come around more often then when there is just a free meal you would noticed I have lost 95 pounds. Then i would have also noticed that you had gained 50 or more. We should keep in touch more often. She threw her nose in the air and took off like a bat out of hell!! I know that was mean but she has always critized everyone..........

Bigg, you just gave me a good laugh.. LOL>. thanks!
Big Al,
Dude, you are a total inspiration!!
That out of the way, I wonder about that stuff myself. When I got hurt over 5 years ago, I was about 150lbs less. It's very sobering to think that to many of my old buds, I could lose 100lbs and still be bigger than the last time they saw me! Same thing as high school.. got another reunion in a few years.. I would have to lose over 300 pounds to be smaller than I was back then, and I got ragged for being fat then!
Now granted, when I reach around 300 this time, I'd have a lot more muscle than I did that time.. still.. like you said, it's a reality check.
I'd like to think that the self satisfaction of the loss and health gains will be enough for me, because I'm sure there will be some who say, "Yep, he's still fat!"...
