The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
____August 19th!
(Starting back with the university this week...
After a few weeks out and around the country.
Can't wait to get some semblance of a "Routine"
Back in place...)
Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-
It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
(This week for example..)
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179
Me?- 184.5
(That was my morning weight, Saturday...
At the top end of my range now
for about 3 weeks in a row.
Cutting back on fats a touch, and getting in
an extra 5 miles of walking and/running this week
Is my goal. I'll see if that starts me back down
The scales for next week....)
So, What about YOU?
(NEW GUYS AND LURKERS?
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!)
(Exception- Men Do Typically lose faster
than their female counterparts!)
Yahoo!
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-

Reminds me of the country song,
"I Still Write Your Name in the Snow."
This week? I'm down a couple of pounds from the bump up. Over the winter, I went way below necessary loss, down to 165. Doc's goal was 190.
Today at 17 months out I'm 180.
Here's the background:
Age 27 High: 305
Age 44 High: 262
RNY Day: 242
Today (5'9") 180
Thanks for all of your help and support and for always doing this!
Dave
Hello all,
I too am bumping back up a bit to my higher safe range. I allow myself 5 pounds and I have creeped back up three of those pounds, so it's time to pound the pavement a bit more and cut back on the sweets I have indulged in this past week. I'm glad school is starting this week so we can try to get our grandson back into the routine of things.
Here's the numbers:
Starting weight, 1st consult (January 13, 2006) 339
Surgery weight (March 20, 2006): 300
Weight last week: 177
Weight this week: 178
Total lost: 161
Life is great, Rick

Wow, just 10 pounds short of 2 bills, Its great to be that much smaller during this summer's heat wave. I am much more tolerant of the heat and not a swaety mess, even walking around outside almost all day at a horse show.
