This is from an HBO Special, "Hard Knocks". At the very beginning, Herm Edwards known for his motivational speeches, 4:30 a.m. gym workouts and strong Christian faith hits the bleechers one day before the first game of the season. Looks pretty fit to me!:

He Appears to be running 30-45 seconds up with high knees, then checking his watch to time his rest.

Have a Great Weekend,

Just noticed, he was born in 1954 and these shots are from August 2007.

he talks the talk and walks the walk. i think he played as a cornerback for something like 10 years with the eagles i think. anyway, he knows what things from a players prosepective and he's tough and fit like you say. so put it all together and you've got a coach you can respect. i like his style. he's got a real young team now so let's see what he can do with these guys. personally i feel they are gonna have QB problems so let's see who starts for them.

i saw the episode you mentioned. i'm hooked on this series. i remember the ravens and cowboys episodes. the raven ones were the best. also, this show gets in the workout room and shows a lot of that aspect so it's something to watch. i've seen some pretty unique workouts just in these two episodes......carbonblob

CB,

I don'****ch sports, so I don't know anything at all about what's going on, but I like this series. I think I'll download as many of them as I can, especially since you said that they get into the workout room.

Edwards is know for his miraculous fumble recovery and TD from Csonka (waaayyy back!) .

It's a bizarre coincidence that I downloaded this by accident while searching for concert bootlegs on torrent sites (get some workout vids and pdfs too, but also buy some, so it balances out).

Then the first scenes include the coach doing HIIT.

It's true, with the addition of plyometrics (jumping for power) each coach probably has his favorite flavor of workout. YouTube is littered with stuff like this:

and this:

Then you add in the "mix-it-up" principle (most extreme version being Crossfit.com

http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/what-crossfit.html),

where coaches are throwing something new into the works every day, and you could find some interesting hybrids. What's good is you've got the best of the most effective trainers, guys who have to produce results working on these pro players. I'll take a close watch and see if I can't see what they're doing.

Hope You are Well,

Dave
