An observation...voice inflections
I don't think I do that, but until I posted YouTube link to a video of myself, everyone thought I had a deep Southern accent.
I live in Northern Japan, in a place that doesn't attract many Southerners, but the people from up close to and around Canada love it here. Most of my friends are from Wisconsin, Sasakatoon, places like that. Guess it feels warm here to them. Anyway, I've lost my Southern accent.

I’m a geeky-nerdy sounding cross between, Boss Hawg (the correct spellin’) & Niles Crane (from the sit-com Frazier) With an occasional touch of Ron White (from Blue Collar Comedy Tour) I’m an amalgam of "All of the South" Originally from Texas, Lived in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. (now) But, grew up and lived my life working in the Theater all over the country, So I have that "girly-Lilt" to my speaking voice That comes from one to many Shakespearean monologues in my youth, And speaking with "Artistes" most of the time. (to me, my voice is nails on a chalkboard. Right up there with having to see my self on film) This question does come up about every 8 months or so…..
