Poor feedback on my Doctor's office.....
I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience with yoru surgeon's practice. In my opinion, after care for post op RNYs and DSers is so important. In my experience PCPs are generally clueless when it comes to follow up care for malabsorbtive surgeries.....thank God there are some PCPs that will educate themselves.....but for the vast majority they do not/or will not gain the additional knowledge to take care of a post op properly.
I highly recommend either making an appointment with your surgeon, and speaking to him one on one about your follow up care...sometimes things happen in person that just can't happen on the phone....ok so I'm an in your face kind of guy...lol. OR my second suggestion would be to find another RNY surgeon who will take up your follow up care. There are MANY RNY surgeons in California....and you don't have to go to your RNY surgeon for follow up care.
