Hi I am Darrin and new to the forums
Hi my name is Darrin
I am brand new to OH, I learned about it from my wife who just had her RNY on 8/6/07. I have been obese all my life since the age of 7. I am 38 years old now and feel like I am 70. My entire family is scared to death that I am going to die, especially because I have a long history of early heart diesea in my family. My father died at 42 and I don't want to end up like that.
I am currently 335 and except for a few exception have been around this size most of my life.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing in this journey I am looking farward to taking

Take time to read previous posts. Look at topics that interst you and read up. It will help. Also you can ask anything you want.
Keep us all posted on the date of surgery, progress, etc.
Welcome again and we will save you a space on the loosers bench.

Welcome Darrin,
I , like you learned about this site from my wife. She had her surgery on 6/4/07. Sounds familiar doesn't. Anyway, welcome to the locker room! My wife refers to it as the most disgusting place in OH. that;s only because we speak our mind around here. Feel free to follow that lead, ask questions, respond to post, and hang on for a wild ride!

Welcome to the men’s locker room, what I think is the best damn board here on OH. There are a great bunch of guys here on this board ranging from pre-ops to guys with many years post-op. They will tell you like it is because they have been there and done that. I know I have learned a bunch from the guys. Also no topic is taboo we share it all. I have been so inspired by the men’s board I trained through OH to become a certified support group leader in my state, and created a men’s only support group and named it the men’s locker room. So Darrin welcome aboard.
