Plateau this early?

Hey Guys... I am 3 weeks out so far, and have had some complications along the way, just wondering how early did any of you experience plateaus? the first two weeks I lost about 30lbs but in the last week I have lost about 3lbs, which I guess isn't that bad, I am just curious because I have still been on just liquids because of the complications so it was surprising to see the weight lost slow down so fast.

Yo BigBub, Mine did that to but it will keep movng as long as you are doing things right. I think I dropped 40 then it dropped to 4 then it went to 7 and 10 and down to 5 but you should be averaging about 10 a week in the beginning and that will taper to about 10 a month after 3 months or so.  Scales move but dimensions don't change, then the scales get stuck but the body shape shifts; waist shrinks, feet shrink, head and neck shrinks, and maybe if you get really good results, the butt and gut shrink.  They were the last portions that changed for me but the most rewarding. It sounds like you are right on track.  The body is just regrouping and trying to adjust to the drastic changes as it relocates fat, storage, energy, and protein sources.  A pretty radical overall transition for the long-term new you.  Its all pretty exciting stuff. Should be getting some FART material from you soon too,... According to my records,....you're overdue for some noteable and noticeable smaller person type events, comments, etc. You don't want the FART nazis coming to your home,..they don't make day visits!

I'm with you.  3 weeks out.  The first two seemed like I dropped good.  This week has been slow. Still on liquids and soft foods.  Hell, I'm not hardly eating anything.   Personally I think the weight should be just dropping like crazy.  But what do I know...   It's got to go down.   Maybe next week it will start moving again. Best of Luck Mike

Big, You are moving in the right direction. It will be very crazy this first 6 months. you will lose and stall and them it will take off again. You will get in great PA one week and it will slow down and then you will have a bad PA week and it will come off in double digits. I will drive you crazy. Remember to do all that you have been told, make the most of the trip, it is going to be one fantastic ride. I am almost 2 years out and I would love to do it over just to go thought the first 12 months again it was great. I am very happy with where I am, but the first 12 to 18 months was absolutely the best time of my life. Keep posting and asking questions, it is how you learn and us grads get to relive it.  Thanks, and best wishes. Mike

Life is a journey, don't waste the trip.

(Pssst....boys....MOST people have that experience at 3 weeks out--- it's your body adjusting to starvation-- in a few days, it'll start burning your reserves again so you have energy to go back out and hunt...don't panic! )

Sorry-- I thought that maybe he needed an answer more than I needed to be quiet. I hate to see people unnecesarily hurting. In the future, I'll let them suffer in silence. Forgive my intrusion.

I had my first stall at about 3 weeks out.  Lasted only about a week.
