Mike,

I’m dropping in late with nothing more than “Ditto.” Stay hydrated, get your protein, and Vitamins, particularly the B’s and you’ll pull on through. It’s a rough start for everyone, some more than others. Hang in there. It really does get easier. Best Wishes- Dx

Hey Mike, Just wanted to add that I went through the exact same thing! I couldn't believe how tired I was at three weeks out, no matter what I did, I just wanted to lay down after walking to the mailbox even.  I went as far as to call my clinic to make sure evertything was OK. I was doing everything I was supposed to do vitamin and water / protein wise....The problem they said - The Anestesia! I was surprised when they told me that its effects can linger around your system for over a month! couple that with the extra energy your body is still using to heal and the super low calorie intake and you can't help but to have one tired dude! Don't fret though, your body will be healed soon, the anastesia will be gone, and when your pouch is done healing and the swelling in there has gone down you will be getting more calories in to along with the shed weight you'll be feeling like a spry 21 year old in short order. So hang in there - listen to your body, if you're tired take a nap!

lots of great suggestions.   B12 certainly helped me, and cottage cheese every morning (high protein, and mushy - easy to tolerate early on)......   hang in there - and, increase your physical activity as you can tolerate..... Keep up the hard work, Chuck

All I have to add is on vitamins. My surgeon suggested Optisource chewable vitamins. I take four a day with meals. They are formulated for bariatric patients, or so they say. My surgeon suggested those or some other ones that were not chewable and I would have ended up having to take about sixteen pills a day. I get Optisource from Walgreens on line. They run about $26.00 a bottle which is a months supply. I also take Sublingal B-12 500 mg twice a day and Biotin 300 mg once a day. The Optisource has both of these but I take extra. Two weeks ago had my follow up and blood work came out fine. As DxE says your mileage may vary. pan head
