Have any of you guys used N.O.-XPLODE.? or any other nitrous oxide products? Does anyone know if they are "safe" for bypassers?....

glad you weighed in on that subject bypass,

i don't use but have been thinking about it just to experiment. the main reason i don't use it is that i don't want to fall into the suppliment trap. which means spending tons of money on them. i use protein and creatine which works great for me. also, any type of niacin or blood rushing type supps make me itch and break out. i crawl out of my skin. i don't know if this stuff will do that to me. i'm all for a more intense work out but that stuff is expensive. i take my b12 and protein before working out and it seems to work fine.

so i want to hear from others too if this stuff works. is it gassy? i can't take it when the stuff blows up in your gut. is anyone really getting a benefit or more intense work out? when do you take it? how long does it last.....blah blah. i'm just curious like bypassboy. is this another great thing or more bull? carbonblob

Holy Crap...
That niacin is a killer!
Have you tried the "Extreme Shock" RTD supp?
I felt like my skin was on fire!
Niacin "Flush" is quite the understatement.

I've recently stopped using all pre-workout supps and have just been concentrating on my daily vitamin regimen.
Multi w/ iron, b-12, Co-Q 10, Fish Oil, Calcium & ZMA.

That stuff sets me back a pretty penny as it is.
The very slight rush or energy surge I get from those pre-workout drinks and such just were not worth paying the extra scratch.
And, honestly, after being almost 2 months removed from them... I really don't see how they made any real difference
Not sure if I'm even intereset in trying any N.O. based stuff.

Hi AJ,

From the research I've read, most of the stuff doesn't work for endurance exercise. From what I've seen, it gives you more of an energy burst when you first start anaerobic work...then, getting your heartrate up high over and over, seems to keep your central nervous system up there.

It might keep you going for 15-20 minutes, don't know.

well I have been taking it for a couple weeks now.... and its amazing! More endurance, more pumps, energy. I dont notice ANY bloating or anything, I do notice I sweat ALOT more during workouts and the only negative thing really is cost and its a little addictive.... I take creatine too. I asked for the safety issue as you never know if these things are safe and if there worse for a bypasser...I dunno

sounds like it's working for you. vitamin shoppe had a sale where a second bottle was free. i was tempted but didn't want to get hooked! maybe i'll try it now since you speak so highly of it. next time i'm over there i'll get a sample bottle. how long before you see benefits? do you have to take a few weeks first or is it instant?

as for the badass veins, that, i got! the niacin really flushed them out too. i'm with AJ, i just couldn't tolorate that stuff. sounds like NOX is the same thing in the sense that it flushes your system. i sweat a lot on the niacin when i took it. veins coming to the surface is nature's air conditioner. all the heat from your veins makes you sweat.

see if they still have sale going, it was recent. maybe try them online and order it if there's not a shoppe near you.

Sounds like a super energy drink geared toward resistance trainers. You could probably save yourself a bundle if you bought the supplement ingredients and then for the stimulant side got a bottle of "Up Your Gas." http://upyourgas.com/  (I think it's at GNC)

allstarhealth.com

and

bulknutrition.com

are good places to buy the ingredients cheaply.

Good Luck,

Dave

Directions on bottle say start off with one scoop to determine tolerance level..........Im on 3 scoops(max recommended) I'd say if your not sensitive to cafeine start out with a scoop and a half or 2scoops....When you first start to use it you will have notice mental focus and IMMEDIATE energy....for me now its like "LETS DO IT" attitude when i wake up.... eg. when you wake up and your like ahhhh ef the gym....take it and your like LETS GO.....Then you go to the gym use up all the energy then feel great afterwords....You do have to drink MASSIVE amounts of water throughout the day with it.....they recommend 120....I try to do at least 96oz to a 128oz a day.........all in all not so bad. I also take creatine too which gives me fuller feel...and cuts recovery for me... Ive been working out for maybe 3 months....and its really JUST starting to show....which im okay with that just means with more time then i can really start to show and get big. my biggest weak area is chest. I cant really bench much at all, and dont have a spotter to spot me when i want to try bigger weights...... Other then bench pressing and dumbell flyes what else will help get rid of man boobs?

when I go to the gym I always start with a 2 mile run on the treadmill and I run it as fast as I can finishing with the mph at  8.6 or 9 . That always gives me all the energy I need for my workout. I notice I can lift more and more reps after my run then when I havent done my run. I tried a energy drink once before I ran and it slowed my mile times down. I love coffe and energy drinks but I wait till I leave the gym to have them i guess my system is backwards
