Getting It Up
I was 348 pounds the day of the surgery, but I loved crawling into my bed and getting a good night's sleep. I had lap surgery, but was able to climb up the stairs easily to the bedroom. Never understood the thrill of the recliner since I spent most of my time moving after surgery. When I did sit, most of the time I used a hard back chair. This surgery was actually a breeze. The abdomiplastic surgery on the other hand was a bear, since the surgeon wanted me to stay in a V position for the first week as much as possible to let the scars heal correctly.
BTW, after I lost 120 pounds we bought ourselves a new queen size bed and got rid of the king. It's amazing how I destroyed the lumpy matress with all my weight.
Good question, good luck to you.
