Hi Fellas,
I have not been around the board much lately because I have been to busy living my new life. My weight stabilized at the 225lbs mark a couple of months ago. I was pretty sure I was big "D" done losing weight but when I got on the scale this morning I was at a new all time low. The amazing part is I can eat all kinds of stuff now and my weight is pretty stable. I am amazed at how much I have to eat to just maintain. I still stay away from fried foods and I am eating a lot healther that pre-WLS. It really has been one crazy ride so far and life is really good these days. Still walking and exercising regularly, played beach volleyball for 4 hour in the midday sun yesterday. My only real complaint now is my tailbone hurts somedays because I have such a skinny ass. Good Luck bros, keep the faith and have a good week....
Tim

I haven't been around the locker room lately, I figured I would jump on the scale today for the Dx's weigh-in. Today is my 49th birthday & I truely believe that if it were not for WLS I might not have made it. So even though 49 sucks (50 is probably worse) I'm happy that I am her with my family (& you guys too). The alternative is worse. So here are the numbers:
1st surgeon visit: 428
Pre-op: 389
last week: 182
This morning: 178.6
Good day to all of you. Enjoy.
Jay
The Plateau Kid, checking in. I thought this stinking stall was over when I got down from 232 to 229 Thursday and was dang close to 228, but alas,...last night and this morning,...232,...again.
Upped my walking/jogging mileage and still focused on protein and water. Really getting concerned I have closed in on all the magic tool has to squeeze out,...but not ready to give up trying.
Maybe next week. August 9 will be a full 32 days/one month/5 weeks, at 232,..but I'm not counting!!
I am still very happy about where I 'm at regardless:
total loss: (from 408) 176; 142 from surgery (374) over 10 months & feeling great
Looking forward to OH gathering in AL with Randall and friends Sept 28 & 29.
Joe
