Sunday Morning FART !

It’s Sunday, what are your special plans for this glorious day?   As for me, I'm planning a walk around Radnor Lake .  Beth pleaded with me to get up early and walk.  This way the heat would almost be tolerable.  What can I say, she won and I was at Radnor by 6:45a.m.  This was my first trip there, even though I have lived in Nashville my entire life.  Will I go back, OH YES!!!!!  What a wonderful place.  And the scenery and wildlife was amazing!  I ended up walking entirely around the lake plus some. Altogether I walked 2.9 miles!

Now here is the kicker!  Four months ago, my workplace held a retreat at Pickett State Park .  At this time, I was around 350 lbs. and every hike was a struggle.  I went on 1 trail that was only ½ mile and I thought I was gonna die!  My vision got blurry, my heart was pounding, and I just did not feel good walking!  Today was different.  I took my time, but also made sure I got my heart rate up.  But I walked away from today’s hike FEELING REALLY GOOD!  What a difference 4 months and 55 lbs. can make!  That's what I call a F.A.R.T. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Scott.  Our family goes to Radner Lake all the time.  We love it.  BTW, they have dree canoe outings too.  We took the whole family about a month ago.  I think it is on Saturday and Sunday nights.  The rangers lead the group around and show all the wildlife.   Keep enjoying that increasing mobility and new things to do and feel free to stink up the joint all you want. Blessings, Greg

Way to go Scott with a FART like that I am surprised you didn’t contaminate the lake. haha  Keep it going, and those are some great photos.

Great job.  Hey if they have paddle boats you can use the FART'S to your advantage - self propelled motor boats....

Sounds like you are on the right track or right lake...  2.9 miles is wonderful.  I hope to be in your area during the Labor day weekend.  We are hoping to travel to Nashville by motorcyle and return on the Natchez Trace.  From the pictures you have it sure looks beautiful around Nashville - I've only flown into Nashville for a quick turn-around. Keep walking and best of luck. Mike
