COME ONE, COME ALL! 1st ANNUAL DUKE WLS SUPPORT GROUPS SUMMER PICNIC Everyone is welcome. Family and friends are welcome. Location: Pullen Park, Raleigh, NC; Shelter #5 Date and time: Sunday, August 5, 9am to 3pm. Lunch at 12 noon. Pack your own picnic basket and join in the fun and fellowship. There are things for children and teens to do and also the aquatic center is open to the public. Tim, Thanks for the invite but I gotta work Sunday.  Wish I had know sooner I could have worked Saturday and run down for a bit.  Raleigh is only a few hours south of me. Another time. Hope you have a great time. Joe

Hey Tim, Like Joe, I wish I would have known sooner and perhaps I could have made it - My kids love the train at Pullen Park. I was just up at Duke last Thursday for my three-month post-op, I would have post-poned it till this week. Too bad nobody at Duke mentioned it...of course the Duke patient Forum would have worked but of course it is down until next month! I'm not too torn up though - it is hotter than heck outside today!!!!!!!! I guess there is no need for charcoal just drop the meat on any outdoor surface!
