Hi Dx,

My all time favorite guitarist Eric Johnson is going to have a top role in a musical in San Diego, Called "Love In". Looks like a tribute to psychodelic rock.

Just wondering, if this is a pretty big deal? His level of skill on the guitar is like none I've ever seen and his sound is quite unique, so I've always felt that he deserved something good.

No, different Genre. Not really a "Theater piece" per se, Even though billing themselves as a "Musical." More of a formatted concert for video release. Unlike for example "Mamma Mia" that took the music Of a pop band and used it in a plot driven story, These type "Nostalgia Concerts" Attempt to recreate the live excitement of the Music from its heyday. Same sort of thing is done nightly in Branson MO, just with C&W stars of the past. All of the production team are folks from the Concert world Not the Theater world. Ben Vereen as more of an MC than anything else. Interesting Live Concert video I’d imagine. Best Wishes- Dx
