Gas?

I've been feeling kinda crappy on and off for the last couple weeks and am wondering if it is gas. When it hits I have a lot of pain right above my navel and my back hurts like hell. The reason I think it might be gas is normally my stomach sounds like sound effects from a jungle: gurgleing and just making all kinds of sounds. When this happens there is no noise and no feeling of it rumbling. I had the same type of episode last fall and went to the ER and they took all kinds of tests and didn't find any leaks or blockage and it went away, and I didn't have any problems 'til now. I don't know if occasionally I eat too fast- I know I am not eating too much. Just wondering if any of you have had the same problem and what to try. Thanks Woody

Sounds like what raw broccoli does to me. Steamed it doesn't seem to bother me. I tend to eat a couple of salads a day, if I put it in both I have some major gas pains.  The only other thing that has given be pains like that is when I have been really dehydrated.  pan head
