My wife and I attended a battery of last classes, tests, and paper signings all day yesterday, walk walk walk.
The nurse weighed me, 377 pounds, that is 20 pounds lighted than when I started the process in January, and before my liquid 2 weeks, starting next Monday. PLUS she put the little ditty on my finger to check O2 levels.....95 whereup on she said, Very good. Little did she know that less than 3 months ago I was 84. Yee Haw!!!
Plus I met some obesity help forum people that I've been talking with...that was surreal, you look at them like...I know them from somewhere....
Driving home, my wife said, well it certainly looks like you've bonded with your new friends through the day, they both gave me big hugs before we parted way.....why yes, I guess I did....Hee hee.
Congrats on the pre-op progress! 20 lbs. without the tool of WLS is very solid...Take it all in Bob - a few months from now you will be under 300 and it will seem like a distant memory....I wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't...getting close now - good luck with that pre-op diet and remember there is no time like now to start getting into the habit of increased activitty....You don't have to go all "NotDave" just yet...just get moving, grab the wife and go for a walk, or take the kids outside and play with them - you'll feel like a kid again!
Congrats! The day will be here before "I" know it. Keep hanging on it only gets better. My top weight was 345. I started this process in March. at 330, today almost 3 weeks post op I'm below 285. I haven't been at that weight in over 10 years. Sure feels good. Keep Hanging on and it will happen to you. Remember we are here for you.
