I kinda like lurking around as the wannabe.  But today I did my final round of classes, paper signings, tests, even got pre-registered for surgery, will start the liquid thing Monday....It's sneaking up on me...dang! BobM.

Won't be long, Bob.

Remember, you won't be able to eat much for 4-5 months! But that's the whole point, right?

I'm sure you have a lot of things to do to take your mind off food.

Won't it be great if you are able to decrease or even get off of the insulin?

Yep. That was my experience too.  It took forever to get a date, but that 6 weeks between getting a date and the actual procedure were gone before I knew it.  Hang on for the most incredible ride of your life.  Good luck my friend. Jason

Just wait till this time next year when your holding up a pair of pants to put them on and you look at them and think those will never fit my fat ass and the go right on. I do that every morning. From a 54 at my highest to a 36 now.  The best was last weekend when my wife and I took our son and grand kids to the county fair and I had to slow down for my wife. She is about an inch taller than I am and long legged. I was always telling her to slow down. We walked around for four hours and had a great time. I would have never even gone a year ago.  Eye's on the prize. pan head

Bob, Your date will be here before you know it! The last weeks before surgery can be an angst-fest! Remember why you made the decision in the first place, And don'’ fall for the mindset of- "I’ll never be able to eat _______Again!" That’ll have you on a "Last Meal" world tour without even planning it. I’ve got no info on the C-pap/Bi-pap business, But know that many have them, use them successfully In the hospital even before coming home With no problems. Best Wishes- Dx
