Gallbladder Removal
Hey guys, well I was wondering, for those of you who had your Gallbladder removed POST surgery when did you start having pains? I started having some pains middle back like last Friday and on this past Monday it was the knock u over pain so with no option I went to the ER where they did a CT and an Ultrasound of the G/B and the Ultrasound COULD NOT even find it and the CT said it was collapsed. They did a nuclear medicine scan on it today and the tech said normally we find it in the first 20 mins of the scan. Mine did not show up until they injected me with MORPHINE and then it hurt like all get out.....I am 12 weeks out today and have lost 75 pds....What about you guys? When did the pain first start for you? How long does it take to recover from this one? I see my surgeon today and my PCP told me it shouldn't be to long but to let him know what the surgeon said....Any advice?
Smiller, No real advice… Mine was removed during my WLS. I have been reading the Boards for a while though… And over the last 4 years, Most who have issues with their Gall Bladder Seem to do so in the first 6 months following WLS. Sounds like in your case there was probably a problem even before your WLS, and it’s really sped up with the extreme weightloss. Doug- (LostintheNet) on this Board had his removed a while back. Like most everyone, he felt much better quickly. Post back what your surgeon says... Keep "adding to the info pool." Hope you get some relief soon. Best Wishes- Dx
