The Power of an I-Pod
Hey John,
If you really want to boost your workout. Try adding the Nike + to your Nano. I have been using the iPod for about a year with the Nike+. It breaks into the music to tell you how far you've gone, how far you got left, whether you are on stride, etc. I can't run without my Nano and Nike+ anymore. I record my times and distance online with Nike once a week.
I also have a very electic taste in music, ranging from alternative, rock, folk, African and Asian, and a sprinkling of country. I mainly look for hard driving, inspiring music that keeps me motivated and avoid the slow and dreary. Helps keep the feet moving faster.
Last week, I ran a 5k without my glasses and the Nano got set incorrectly to the "Now Playing" song. I got to hear the same song 5 times. I did record my fastest time since I just wanted to finish the race and I was getting real tired of listening to Fall Out Boy over and over and over again.

I love my IPOD and I agree it helps a lot with my workout. I have about 920 songs on mine. The thing is I'm starting to get sick of my playlist. Does this happen to anybody else? You all gave me inspiration to download some other songs that I mightn't of thought about. Thanks.
ADAM
P.S. I'd love any more suggestions...I listen to late 70's, the 80's, rock, classic rock, new wave, alternative, almost anything.
The mid 70's were some real dark ages for music, but for my two cents I would load up (assuming you don't have them already):
The Clash, London Calling
Elvis Costello, This years model. If you like Country music, get Almost Blue.
Bruce Springstein, Greetings from Asbury Park and Darkness on the Edge of Town.
If you like the real old stuff, I'm big on Roy Orbison.
At least that is what is loaded up on mine for that era.
What happened to the DineWise chick. Some other girl there now from Tampa. I want white pants with the great badonkadonk back!
