The Power of an I-Pod

Hey gang, if you dont already have one, I've got to tell you how great an I-Pod is for a workout.  My wife...uh, I mean my 2 cats bought me one for fathers day.  I've just recently taken the time to download some music onto it and get the hang of using it.  Once I plug it in my ears and crank it up, I just want to keep going and going.  I have an eclectic taste in music, alot of disco, new wave and punk rock from the late 70's, early 80's to rave, electronic and trance from the 90's through now, great for working out.  The sound quality is amazing for such a little thing.  I've got an I-Pod Nano 2GB, I think its supposed to hold about 500 songs, I've probably got about 120 songs so far.  Anyway, give it a shot, I highly recommend it. John

iPods are nifty and easy to use.  There are cheaper .mp3 players out there, but Apple makes a slick product that works well.  YMMV.  Enjoy! MLF

It is Bill the Cat from the comic strip Bloom County.  A great strip.  Anyway, since my real name is Bill I kind of identify with the poor fella, ya know?    Ack phbbbt!!!!

Agreed. I picked up a Nano a few weeks ago and might need a support group to help me put it down. Very impressive product. I thought I had weird taste in music.... I have everything from Bach to the B-52s on mine. I find the best work out music at either end on my tastes. Bach on some days, Van Halen or Hendrix the next. Take care. JP

Been in an Aerosmith Rocks/ Van Halen I / the Car's Greatest Hits mood lately. Next week could be Triumph/ Ted Nugent Double Live Gonzo/ Kiss Allive I... Just feel like rockin' lately.

Hey Dave, greetings from the other side of the world.  When i was in high school, me and my friends were totally into the Cars, saw them twice in concert in the early 80's, once for the Shake It Up tour and once for the Panorama album.  Camped out all night at the local ticket place to get the best seats.  Moving In Stereo is my favorite, now that I've thought about it, I need to put it on my Pod.  That scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High with the chick coming out of the pool during the guys masturbation session is classic, that song was the perfect background music.  Be well. Cool playlist. I am swinging from Van Halen to vintage Elvis Costello (This years model) and the Clash (London Calling). And of course, a good dose of Bach, Hyden and Handel. Does anyone know why a standard CD is the size it is? Somebody told me it was so Beethoven's 9th Symphony would fit on it. That is how some exec nailed down how many minutes the originals would hold. Just curious if anyone else here that. Damn, that DineWise chick is hot. Makes it hard..... ah, ...to type. Do you think they got some buff boytoy in painted on pants taking up ad space on the chick boards? I'm with somebody else's comment about her ever being MO, and volunteer to take one for the team and check her out thoroughly for stretch marks, etc.. Shouldn't take me more than say, most of a weekend. JP

The B's are good, got about a half dozen of their songs on my mine, my favorites got to be Mesopotania, I just love the beat of that one.
