Im all set to have surgery tomorrow morning. My surgery time was moved up to 9:30 am and have to be there by 7:00 am.  No Sleeping in tomorrow . I have been just relaxing most of the day trying very hard to mentally prepare myself for my new life. Seems like my mind is going a hundred miles an hour . I had a delicious lunch, chicken broth mmmmm good! I plan to mix it up for dinner and have some beef broth with a water chaser! . Other than that I hope Im ready. I have had a ton of calls from family and friends wanting t0 make sure this is what I want to do. They have even exspressed to me its not to late to to change your mind!!! I tell them, I know this is not going to be easy! But living as 398 lb man is not easy either.

I cant wait to begin my new life! Thank you to all my OH freinds, you have been such a support and an inspiration in my WLS journey thus far. You all Rock! . Take Care and God Bless, And I will see YOU ON THE LOSERS BENCH!

Hey John, everything will be great.  Can't wait to have you here on the bench.  You've done the toughest part...the pre-op diet.  Just rest, walk, sip, sip, sip and you will be fine.... Blessings, Greg

Hi John, Let me ditto Greg's welcome and good advice--follow your doc's orders, sip, sip, sip, and walk, walk, walk. It's natural for our families to worry about us--they worry 'cause we're fat THEN they worry 'cause we chose surgery to help us get healthy! Watcha gonna do? They'll all be cheering you on and oohing and aahing as the new, svelte, healthy John emerges. Your spot on the Loser's Bench is shined and polished and waiting. See you on this side soon.

Doug

John, greetings from the "right" coast and best of luck to you tomorrow.  My best advice, just follow the rules and hang in there, the benefits far outweigh the immediate/temporary discomforts.  I feel better now than I have in about 25 years and I'm 42.  Take advantage of any support groups available to you, I cant tell you how important the emotional support will be.  This surgery is more than just losing weight.  Keep us posted on your progress and be well. Best of luck tomorrow.  You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.  It looks like there will always be room on the losers bench,  As you can see from the weekly weigh in, as we all continue to lose there is always more room.   Here's to everything going well.  I'll raise my glass to you!!  (filled with no calorie decaf iced tea).  Take care, Brian
