How often do you guys do the "technicolor yawn"?  I'd say that, at nine months out, I pitch chow about twice weekly - is that about par for this course? Problem is, I'm still "spreading my wings" regarding what I can and cannot eat.  I'll eat something just fine for several meals, and then all of a sudden it inexplicably ends up on my shoes What gives

Hi BA,

I think there are several guys out there who have this problem. From what I remember Bob H. still gets the foamies a couple of years out as do some others.

I sometimes feel really really full, but I never toss anymore (knock on wood). Don't know if it's diffences in surgical technique, physical makeup or if we're actually trying to eat different amounts or types of food, but everyone seems different on this.

I can imagine chucking on too much hard meat or maybe too much bread. Could it be that you're trying to eat more of this kind of thing than your pouch can handle? All I can think of.

Best Wishes,

Dave

This is rarely a problem for me nowadays.  Make sure you are chewing your food well.  Also, be careful about the amount you are eating.  As soon as you feel full, stop eating.  It takes a little practice, but you'll be ok eventually.

Hey guys, I learned about this on the RNY forum ( I lurke around there from time to time) Papya enzymes help with digestion. I know when I feel really really full from eatting to fast (I am only 10 weeks out too) I pop 3 of them and usually within an hour my pouch is happy and neutral again. They are chewable and actually taste pretty good. Have any of u tried them?

On the 26th I'll be 10 months out and have the same problem.  I've been doing real well as of late so last noght at a swim meet, I bought a grilled chicken breast sandwich, ditched the bun and slowly ate this delicious and juicy grill third or half of a breast.  It got stuck and I had to leave halfway through the meet because it kept coming back after about an hour of eating it.  Dinner tonight I had a banana and strawberry smoothie with whey protein and darn if I didn't start feeling poorly after that for about an hour.  It seems to recur periodically just to remind me, it there and new.  But I'm kinda OK with it because if stuff goes too weell too long I start worrying I've stretched my pouch or have maybe been eating too much or too often.  Worrisome type,...ain't I?? Thanks for posting and letting me know I'm not alone.  It must be part of the process. Joe

i have a couple of distinctions on this board and unfortunately one of them is blowing balony shcrapnel all over the place. i just have a sensitive pouch due to screwing it up with pain meds i used to take. so sugar, high fat, some breads etc just set me off like a rocket. as mentioned, the trick is to eat slower, chew good and stop when full. you might be sensitive like me and just have to keep a mental log of what you can't eat. my list is not long but it is a list. you may be slower to heal like me too. i never got the full feeling until 7 months out as well. i'm easy to get dizzy or sick so i have to be extra careful when it comes to things that will upset my surgery. hope you heal better than me.......carbonblob
