Failure to launch...
OK, I've lost about 50lbs since I consented in March. Good news. BUT... Relations with the DW have changed. In some respects, good. In another.... not so much. With the only variable being weight loss, I find myself able to last a very long time.... A VERY LONG... WAY TOO LONG. Good for her to a point but, bad for both after an unreasonable amount of time (I will not brag here). I would like share the cookies not just serve them.
Any inputs to causes? Better yet, any fixes?
William, have you changed any medications? Many meds, or even some antacids can affect your equipment. Some make you not able to perform, some make you not able to finish. Even mild stuff. Years ago I was on some meds that would not let me finish. I was good to go, but like you said, it was ridiculous.. I would be physically out of breath, and of course, when you're out of breath, you can't go on anyway..... so.. you're left frustrated.
If you've changed any meds, I'd check with your doc for possible side effects.

Actually, all things have remained a constant except wieght loss. Both my wife and I are WLS patient and things are lot ... more enabled. Of course my BP issues have improved greatly since losing weight. After some research DW has discovered that Diovan is not onlt a BP med but also a treatment for ED and PME. I'm seeing the PCM today to get my Diovan lowered. Less weight means higher concentrations of the same dose.
Thank you all for your input. You guys ROCK!
William,
I skipped by last night, and was going to respond this morning...
With the "Meds?" Question...
But looks like you found it.
That'd be the most likely candidate.
Many of the anti-depressants can also
Move that "finish-line" from a sprint to a marathon...
How Great that the problem now-a-days is -
Not needing as much BP medication,
And having sex Too Long!
Amazing stuff this weight loss...
Keep it Up!
Best Wishes-

Yes, I'm also on Welbutrin XL for some of the ghosts in my past. The shrink says that this particular med is very unlikely to cause these side effects. BUT, DW being the internet and Compu-queen thst she is, did some awsome research on both Diovan and Sular. Diovan is full of info on sexual function. She printed a tome to carry to my PCM this afternoon. I like that idea that he could cut my Diovan in half so, that I dont go back to "two pumps and a dump" (excuse my crusty old retired military verbage). She found nothing in this area about Sular. She looked hard (pardon the pun).
Also.... I had a visit to my endo for my thyroid. I been taking generic thyroid Rx by PCM. Dr. endo says that generics can very in dosing accuracy by as much as 18% as compared to brand. Even more among generics to generic. Dr. endo is putting me back on brand name and we'll see what happens to my TSH.

One good thing about lasting so long is that the longer you go the more calories you lose. I read you can lose 400 calories having sex. One time I lost even more...400 calories, my watch, and my wallet!!!
I apologize since I've posted that one before, but it seemed to be an appropriate spot for it.

You will be assimilated, resistance is futile.
Wow,...good info. Thanks for bringing this up William. I've had similar issues but no willing partner (wife isn't much interested) so I've been walking around with my tongue to my knees. Guess what the last of my BP meds are?....Diovan.
I missed taking it last nght as I've been a woozy, off balance and tired lately. Similar to to symptons before I've cut back on BP meds the other two times since WLS. I'm hoping it works so I'll be off BP meds completely. If its a ED med as well,.. it might cool my jets a bit and allow me to be a bit more sane or focused on ,...other topics.
Oh Dude! Dont skip the bp meds! We need you around! When yu get the right dose you function more correctly in both areas! And, the Diovan has made "taking matters into your own hands" virtually impossible... even with "inspirational material" (Hey, we all do it. 95% of all men do... the other 5% lie!)
