It Does Get Easier Each Week!
I know that using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------
Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179
Me?- 183 (actually early Saturday Morning weight)
So, What about YOU?
(NEW GUYS AND LURKERS?
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!)
(Exception- Men Do Typically lose faster
than their female counterparts!)
Yahoo!
Keep It Up!!!
Best Wishes-
Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
Hi Dx,
Haven't checked in in a while. Still 174 from a high of 305 and 40's high of 282.
Meanwhile, looking like a lot of water, a lot of protein and a lot of fiber allows me to eat just about anything I want and not gain. Thinking maybe there's a "critical mass" of liquid and food, which if exceeded, speeds everything through the shortened small bowel." When you think about it, there's no stomach to put on the brakes and 1/2 of the intestinal space, so this should send things "speeding past" the papilli.
This is something that docs could research, I'm sure.
Have a Good Week,
Dave
This has been a stressful week. I am a law enforcement dispatcher. This past week two of my deputies had to shoot and kill a person that came after them with a knife. It has been very hard on them and the whole department. Curently we are in the midst of possible evaucations due to several large fires in our area.
I guess it is all just part of the job, but it does tend to wear one down.
Anyway, for the numbers:
Starting weight 1st consult (January 13, 2006) 339
Surgery weight (March 20. 2006) 300
Last week: 177
This week: 176
Total lost: 163
Have a great week, Rick
Highest: 375 Consultation: 373 PAT: 361 Surgery: 356 Two Weeks Ago: 250 Today: 244
Not a bad week altogether! I did not lose, and only gained .4 lbs. Maybe I can kick start it again this week! We are joining the wellness center at the hospital where my wife had her surgery, so just maybe I can lose, firm it up, and enjoy myself all at the same time!
Have a great week guys!
