Joined the losers side... kind of
Well guys, I had my lap RNY on tuesday and got home last night. I'm doing pretty well, only small amounts of pain. I'm still waiting for the scales to reflect my lack of food for the past few days, but so far they are still above where I entered the hospital. I know this is normal, so not too worrried.
Looking forward to sharing my journey with you guys.
Congrats.
I would give the same advice. Weigh once a week and keep a record. I have got in the habit of weighing every day and it drives me crazy some times. When I go back and look at my monthly planner I can see where I have been making a steady decline in weight, from week to week.
I have became a scales *****
Although I weight every day I only record my weight once a week. I do it on the day of the week I had surgery. Yesterday was week thirty and I weighed 200 lbs. I can look back at my calender and plot my weight loss from week one.

I am 3 weeks out and I can tell you it is hard to stay off the scale. What I did was pick one day (for me the day I got home) and took my weight and measurements. I created spreadsheet and I weight and measure the same day every week. Now, I will admit that I do step on the scale other times, but I do not take the weight literally.
Good luck and welcome to the lighter side....
