Free weight flys and bench to tighten and tone; low wweight high reps. Walking and letting that develop into jogging as my distance and time on the road increased are being a real help for me keeping more toned than I every thought it would.  I started at 10 minutes to the corner of my street and back.  at 10 months, I am now doing 4-6 miles 3-5 times a week, and sometimes 2 miles that takes about 30 minutes walking; 20 jogging now.  Don't worry about being impressive, just get started and stay with whatever yu choose to do and the results will come. In Jjanuary I registed for a 10K in March.  It took me 2 hrs 15 minutes to walk 6 miles/10K.  By Race day (90 days later) I finished in 1 hr 38 mins.  My new goal: I have registered for a 10K in October and an 8K in Nov.  I want to be able to jog the whole distance in bth and be able to finish the 10K in 1hr 10 mins.  It keeps the carrot dangling out there for me. Good luck and don't get too pysched about the moobs.  I just checkout my wife occassionally to keep my manhood in perspective.  Joe

Hey Bronco! First, Welcome to the Men's Room! "Moobs" topic has come up here often enough... Here's a recent PS for Men Thread--- http://tinyurl.com/2a3bgg Exercise helps some, others not as much. I'm 4 years Post-op, from 385+lbs to 180 to 185lbs range. My big ole Dolly Parton Tits went away completely. Some exercise with small weights But not a lot. Great you found the plce... Only so much " We Network Channel" or Oprah can be tolerated Before you have to grab the remote! Best Wishes- Dx

I guess I'm a bit of a skeptic.  Obviously if you pack on lots of chest muscle that would help "refill" the boobs with a better shape.  And maybe there's something to the idea that exercise can stimulate blood flow that would help skin contract.  But I think mostly it's just time+genetics.  A lot of folks do whatever exercise and get good results, but we don't know what they would have gotten had they done nothing at all.  It's possible things would have tightened up exactly the same watching TV.  Others need surgery despite tons of exercises (and being really fit).  I can't help but wonder if we just talking about different skin types and different aged people. Don't get me wrong: I think exercise is great and I'm on a pretty aggressive schedule myself right now.  But I think you should just focus on gaining strength and fitness and see what happens.  At three months out, there is no way you could possibly get ahead of the curve.  Even if your skin is contracting nicely, you're losing so fast that that things will still probably look worse week to week.  It won't be until you've been around a stable weight for six months or so that you'll really be able to evaluate where skin problems, if any, remain.

Make sure you don't abandon the good ole push up. They are pretty much the perfect exercise for your upper body. If you can't do push ups your bench press is all for not. Do 2 sets of push ups for every one set of chest exercise.  Since I started lifting and using push ups that way I have seen good gains in size and strength.
