Hey Tek It'll be some time before this site has traffic........ Sort of a "Move on off the Road!" side street for discussions. See you round the boards- Best Wishes- Dx "

Dx,

First of all, thanks for starting the Men's Forum. It really has been great support and you have been here for us consistently the entire time.

I really thought, though that the forum had been around longer than that. Hell, I've been here since November 2005. I had no idea the board was that young when I arrived.

(I'm not about to proclaim myself a "founding father" - or any other kind of father - except "sugar daddy", though!) Hehe...

Anyway, thanks again!

Kind Regards,

Dave

Dave, I’m not in any way responsible for "starting" the Men’s Board. Just one of the many *****sponded "YES!" when administrators Asked on the Main Board if it "might be" a good idea. Bo McCoy (along with the urging of John Ruston) is probably single-handedly responsible for it’s existence. This "little experiment" seems to have succeeded. You have certainly been here long enough to count as- Founding Father… Well Maybe "Developer Daddy!" and to think, your first post here was a response to an exercise post..... "I'm new to the list… Just wondering how soon I can do any/ all of the above after a lap RNY?"  I guess the answer was "LOTS & SOON ENOUGH!"

Who’d have thought…… Thanks for all you add to the mix! Best Wishes- Dx

Dx, Thanks for the history lesson and thanks to you and all the guys who got Men's Forum up and going. I for one would not have been much of a participant on the AMOS board. It's hard now to imagine not having the Locker Room and the guys, even on the days when I can only check in for a few minutes. And there's something to be said (imho) for not being the "fastest moving, most populated board"!

Randall, Great to still have you out here after all this time. You’re in my prayers often. Your ‘official’ ordination is soon, yes? May each week get better and better for you! Best Wishes- Dx

Thanks Dx, Thanks for the short history lesson.  I had my surgery 12/05 and been here since shortly before that.  I too, did not know the men's board was that young when I started lurking here.  I do not post very often but read a lot. If you remember a few months back, I ask for questions to ask the doctor when I was considering plastic surgery.  You sent me a boat load of questions which I very much appreciated and used.  I had my ps on 6/4/07.  I am recovering very nicely and the surgeon is very pleased at the way I am healing.  I see him again this Thursday for a follow-up visit.  He took before photos, photos of me all marked up just prior to surgery and will take post-op photos on Thursday.  I am mostly happy with the results and I am sure I will be more happy once the swelling all goes away.  The one thing NO ONE explained to me was about how tight my skin would be after surgery.  I am sure things will loosen up a bit once the swelling leaves but I still can not raise my arms straight over my head. Thanks for all your help and keep up the good work. No

Hey No, Good to hear you’re through your PS and on your way to normal. Yeah, that tight skin feels better and more natural each week. It is surprisingly slow going though. I had some swelling continue on for right at 6 months. The worst of it was gone at 2 months But each afternoon, there would still be "Some." Sort of in that afternoon time when a fever can climb if you’re sick. I don’t remember when I started being able to just toss and turn in the bed Without feeling like I was pulling something….But apparently That happened along the way too around the 5th to 6th month… Hope you’re done with surgeons for a while and on to just "Livin’ Life!" Best Wishes- Dx
