Hello Men’s Forum! I've missed you Guys! I’ve been off in "High School Hell" for the last few weeks. I’ve been slaving away to open the most saccharin sweet, vapid and insipid bit of theater Ever to visit the professional stage.- http://theedge.bostonherald.com/artsNews/view.bg?articleid=1 009973

It was like being up to my neck in openly insincere "High-School-ish, Glitter-Huggie-Smoochie-Poo" for about 16 days. (And Paris H thought her sentence was harsh!) But, then I had the delight of meeting with some of Boston-area regulars from the Quix Board (along Doug [lostintheNet] from here, and his delightful wife Melissa) to wash away the "Icky experience." By the way, Doug is amazing looking! I saw him about a year ago when he was still fresh out on his Post-Op life, And now he’s CF sized! Congratulations Doug. (Get your Iron back up!!)

Well, I’m back home… I haven’t caught up yet, just starting to read… CB?!? Stay the freck out of the hospital!! A Belated Welcome to any recently joining here. And those just home from the "Chop Shop." Hope everyone’s plumbing has been rearranged or banded up successfully… One other bit… While being distracted… I went right past my 4 year "Surgi-versary." 4 years and 4 days ago I was in a totally different type of Hell, So suddenly, life these days? Looks pretty Sweet! It’ll take me a bit to catch up.. Hope all is getting better each day for you all! Glad to be back…. Best Wishes- Dx

Hey Dxe... High scool performances....filled iwth singers who can't act, and actors that can't sing....and dancers that can't do either.....but they have a good time.... Funny story.....high school ..south Pacific....I was the little kid who sang at the first of the show.....my character always in trouble, being shooed away by a butler...my coustume....I wore a dashiki....no surong for me...one..I had moobs back then....and I was supposed to be 9 years old...and I had a full chest of hair..... Well my mom stitched up the dashiki, and had some material left over, so she made me some matching shorts, to wear underneath... the first scene, I sing the duet...butler comes on, and is supposed to pick me up by the scruff of my neck, and toss me off stage....in rehersal, he had always grabbed me by my ear... Well, opening night, and he decides to be "True to the script"...he grabbed me by my neck, and grabbed on to my shorts, and tried to pick me up like a child.....(did I say I had moobs back then,......hefty child...I think was 16) well he heaves up, and those shorts rip right off my chubby AZZ....right into his hand.... that was the opening of the show....I went to the car, got a new pair of undies....and went back at it...the show must go on,,,,, glad yo had a good session....while you were gone, I got a new PDF of some after pics....send me an e-mail and i'll share Russ

Hi Dx, Welcome back and Happy 4th Surgiversary. Hope the saccharin sweet, vapidity and insipidity didn't lead to dumping! You know we miss you when you're gone--which is probably one of the best compliments we can give a guy.

Doug

What a skill set working with novices to well seasoned folks. I'm sure that when you work with high school folks, a few really impress you to the point that you'd like to work with them again and later gain  opportunities. Knowing you, I'd bet that has happened! I'm now 2 days out from my two year anniversary. I continue to do all sorts of physical work not possible before. I'm mantaining my weight within - or +5 pounds of the 110 total lost with a 38 waist. The summer has been great spending time and traveling some with Marge. We last spent time like this 35 years ago in undergraduate school.  I'm currently having a mass on my neck evaluated: it could be a cyst but it is larger than most. I hope to shedule my 2 year bariatric follow-up later this week. Summer break will end soon. Enjoy! Colonel Dave
