New to OH (kind of)

Hi everyone! I've actually been lurking here for a while (since before my surgery), but I never got around to registering or posting, so I figured I'd go ahead and bite the bullet and introduce myself. I'm 23 years old, and I had RNY on April 13th (Friday the 13th ... didn't realize that part until after I had scheduled, but given that I'm not superstitious, I didn't let it bother me).  I was 380 lbs. prior to surgery, and as of this morning, I'm 305.  Getting that close to being under 300 pounds is pretty exciting.  Plus, I went to shop for a new belt yesterday, and for the first time in my life (since I started shopping for my own clothes at least), I got to buy something that wasn't in the "Big & Tall" section of my local department store.  Of course, that presented a whole new problem of trying to figure find what I wanted when everything I could buy wasn't confined to a single corner in the store, but that's another issue all together ... but all in all, it's been a pretty good weekend. So anyway, I just wanted to say hi.  I appreciate all the information that you guys share here.  You're probably helping more people than you even realize.   Hopefully I'll be able to hang around a little more now.

Welcome aboard.   Keep letting us know how things are going.  It does everyone including yourself a world of good.  I haven't made the trip yet, almost (July 17).  But, everyone on here is great.  Even your comments about dropping 75 lbs is really helpful to us.   Anything we can do for you just say the word. Kyle, Welcome to the Men's board.  I know you'll learn lots as you already know, but it is also a great group of guys.   I didn't find this board until after I had my surgery, but I really enjoy it now.  Isn't it amazing how you can enjoy shopping once again.  Congratulations on your success thus far and keep up the good work. Keep it up! The buying clothes where/when ever you want is a fun new smile That just gets better. Now that you’re posting, throw out the things that You want to know. Welcome Kyle, I was a lurker as well.  Sometimes I walk through a clothing store now and I think about the fact that I don''t have to worry about being able to find something I can wear. Not use to so many choices.  pan head
