50 Mile Challenge June Ended / July Beginning
Howdy Gents!
June flew by and July is following suit. Hope everyone is having a fun, healthy, active summer thus far. I've been delinquent in posting the updates for folks participating in our 50 mile challenge. I'll work on getting back to a more regular routine.
First, how did your June end up? I kicked it up a notch with the bicycle and cardio at the gym and made it to 105 miles last month. Here are my June totals:
Miles in May: 126
Miles through 6/18/07 - 45 miles (36.5 eliptical/treadmill, 8.5 biking)
Miles through 6/30/07 - 60 miles (28 eliptical/treadmill, 32 biking)
Total miles June - 105 miles
Milage goal for June - 100 miles
Percent towards June goal completed - 105%
Percent of month completed: 100%
I'm looking to get back to 120 for July. Latest goal is to get to half the weight from when I started by the end of the summer. I'm weiging in at 288 right now. That gives me a couple of months to get down to the magic 267.5 number on the ol' scale.
So, are you in? Bicycling, walking, running, swimming, skipping, hopping, what's your pleasure? We're trying to get everyone to make a committment to exercise, at least 50 miles for July. I know that it's been a major component not only in my weight loss, but also to an increased healthy lifestyle overall. Give a reply here and let us know if you're up to the challenge!

As usual, no mileage goals for me during the Tri season...
Just getting the required work in to prepare for each race.
Here are my numbers
Miles Last Month (May): 257
Miles June 1 - June 18: 178 miles
139 Bike / 21 Run / 5 Swim / 13 Elliptical
Miles June 19 - June 30: 117 miles
82 Bike / 16 Run / 1 Swim / 14 Elliptical / 4 Rowing
Total Miles for June: 295
Racking up mile after mile lately and still hittin' the weight room 4 days a week.
On top of it all, right now, I'm at an all time adult low of 186lbs and I've got my body fat down to 9.6%!
And, of course, I'm in for July's Challenge, as well.

Well I completed my goal and then some, but since I started a new job on the second, I'm taking the month of july off, I will walk about a mile a day, but I wont be tracking it.

I just made a chart that I can put on the fridge and every day that I get home I can easily jot down the milage. For me this is much easier than a spread sheet.
For June, I got in a little over 75 miles of running with a long run of 11.6 and another of 11. I ran 15 days in the month which is exactly what I wanted.
My goal for July is 75 again.
