Saturday Night, Blood sugar is 440
Bob -
Glad to hear it is getting better. I agree 100000% with pan head. Start now. If you start now, the commitment after will be easier. I started eating 'healthier' 4 weeks out, and did the liquid diet the week before. I am SO glad i did. Look at what u r eating now and change what is needed. If you WANT pizza, eat a salad first then 1 piece - eat it slowly. Thats what I did. we went for a party 2 weeks out and there was pizza. i could have eaten 10-15 slices, but i controlled and had 2 over a 3 hour period. IT WAS HARD AS HELL!!
The only one that can change it is you.
UR in my prayers.

Hi Bob,
Please talk with your Dr. about Avandia. It's getting a lot of bad press. They say it is causing heart attacks as a side effect. There are many lawsuits starting up over this.
There are a lot of other meds out there. Do some research on Avandia to find out more.
Before my surgery my blood surgar at one point shot up to 540 due to a change in meds. My Dr started me on insulin shots and it controled my sugar much better after we got the dose right. And the shots don't really hurt, we use very short neddles. I still am on the insulin and glucophage at 6 months after surgery. I'm hoping one day to be off all the meds.
Best of luck
Dan
