Well Brothers it official, I have walk 1000 miles over the past 12 months. I celebrated today by going on a 10 mile walk with Jack the wonder lab. I was the biggest anti-exercise guy on the planet 18 months ago and my 460lbs size was a testament to that accomplishment. Now 18 months down the road I have lost 238 pounds and am now at 222lbs, BMI 27 with size 36 pants and large shirts. I know regular exercise has been a key to my success and I really do enjoy getting out walking and weight lifting at the gym. I'm not on the board much these days because I am too busy living my new life. I wish all the new guys a lot of success it has been one hell of a ride so far.

Hi Tim,

I'm a man of few words, lately so just want to say. Good job hanging in there for so long. You're a big guy, so 222 and 36 are not overweight figures. Gotta feel good...

Like the line from the movie Necessary Roughness, I don’t even drive that far. 1000 miles that is awesome way to go. Keep up the good work.

That is an amazing accomplishment Tim. I can't even imagine how good it must feel. How awesome did it feel as you took the final steps to break the 1000 mile mark? How much has Jack lost in the past months? Is there a before and after story / pics for him? That was a great idea to keep track of your mileage, I wish I had thought of that when I was starting...maybe I will start now...when is the next Raleigh men's group? I'm going to be up there for my three month post up on the 12th and may stay that weekend of the 14th-15th...let me know...

YOU DA MAN, Tim! Your own story makes us all proud, Tim....I'm not even close yet to your 1000, but am comfortably working on getting the 300's gone...and soon will be in the 400's - KMs up here but still, from a guy who never EVER got off the couch, I feel good too! Way to go! Methinks that while that new red convert is a 'chick magnet' -- so are you my friend! Keep on losing! Jim
