Dave,

Thanks for the tip on HPP. I have been listening to the CD for several days and it has seem to bring me a calm and a center which is helping me get my grazing issues under control. Your dungeon looks great, a lot of different drill in such a small space, we get spoiled in the US with our available space. I know that you are looking for higher intensity through your sprint work and your rowing.

Is the Japanese perspective on strength building similar to your approach? Or it is more of a focus on speed and flexibility. Do martial arts appeal to you? Regardless of the conflict in styles, you’re looking great and serving as a good inspiration for my efforts.

Hi Herb,

Me, an inspiration? I'm all perspiration! But thanks, anyway.

HPP is great. Do you ever find yourself so relaxed, though that you lose motivation? I find if I do those every day for a week, I lose a little bit of the edge. But then the next week the power returns and I'm probably a little better than before.

I've never looked to anyone here for physical motivation or approaches. I can't see that many people with physical energy. Everyone is dead in the gym. Maybe it's just considered rude here to be as intense as I am. People in general don't want to stand out, so it may be a form of self-restraint. Then, there's the competitive/ pride side, that may make guys ashamed if they feel they are "not strong" already.

My take on martial arts is it looks like fun, but probably bad for the hips at my age, so I stay away from it. I'm sure it's good for general fitness, coordination and power and if you enjoy it, I'd say go for it.

Best Wishes,

Dave
