This is getting so f($*king petty I can't hardly stand it! I've been on a cpap machine for 5 years and went and did a new sleep study for my surgeon's criteria for WLS.  The puliminary specialist ordered and I received and have been using a new Bipap machine.   AFter my last round of tests I called to see if I needed to do anything else, and  I guess the Puliminary doctor ordered a second sleep study for some F$(#king reason and my surgeon's office emailed me and said they are looking for a comfirmation that I am on that F#$(king machine, Geezuz - I absolutely hate this kind of crap!   I'm just going to go and have a good cry, and then I'm going to go to the F#$(king firing range!  Dumping on you, BobM. 24 hours later....I'm still ticked, but got an email from my surgeon's nurse being nice saying it does get better she promises.  I came down and called the specialist, he knowing how hard I've been working for this, made me an appointment with his PA next monday at 11:15 a.m.  She will evaluate me and then write a note to my surgeon's office. thanks for the advice, listening, and your stories.

Patience and Strength, Bob.  This too shall pass. Relax and put up with the B.S. In the end it will be worth it. Chin up, Soldier Go put a full clip  of the pistol in M.O.A. at 25m. and you'll feel better. Oh yeah. Quit whining!

I understand completely. Been on CPAP for 20 years and now at the last minute I have to have a "Pulmonary Consult". Seems like every time I have a "consult" they want me to have another test. But I agree that this too will pass and some day  we will be telling the grandkids stories about what we had to go through to get this done. Hang in there Bob

What's one more  episode?  With your perseverance you will finally wear them down.   Like you when things really get bad with me I also go to the range but I shoot my Civil War Coehorn Mortar.   The small one with a 2 5/8" bore.

Bob, Hang in there, the goal is in sight. Take the edge off by loading up on brussel sprouts, onion rings, and beans for two days before the sleep study. Make it an event that no one will forget about for a long time. Then in 6 months you can sell all that paraphinailia on e-bay and tell them to kiss you decreasing in size a$$. Herb

I'd like to tell them that now Herb!  But I'm afraid they'd leave a freaking wrench or something in me. LOL

Hang in there. The best FART I have had yet was packing the CPAP up and burying deep in the closet. If I had a steam roller, I would have used it instead! JP

Bob, No "buck up little camper" from me.  The medical/insurance machine can be a real pain in the tookus.  I have a CPAP machine and I'm actually afraid they will take it away.  I guess you actually have to have apnea to keep it.  Even when my apnea subsides from weight loss, I will still snore like a freight train.  I need the CPAP to qwell the snoring in order to sleep.  I was a "Heroic Snorer" (yes that phrase is in my medical records from my ENT) even when I was lean, mean and 17.  Another downside to losing the CPAP is the risk of the VA re-evaluating my apnea and down grading my service connected disability. I hope that you are able to jump through all their little goofy hoops and get back on the road to success! Jeff

You know what they say Bob "they only serve he who stands and waits' or in this case he who has every freaking study or test they can think of.  Just wait till you can use that bipap machine for target practice. Tim tried to donate, sell or find out what he could do with a used cpap machine but since it takes a script to get one, ebay will not let you sell it and the hospitals will not take a used one. So shooting the thing full of holes sounds like fun.  pan head

I would go on America's next inventor with an attachment for the cpap machine that can "service" your carnal needs. You would be a millionaire! Insurance companies the ******* child of a pent-up IRS agent and a beauracratic accountant.
