New Pic and WE WON!!! HUGE FART!

My team entered a BBQ contest over the weekend and..........

We took first place in the Showcase category at the BBQ contest. We won with my "nothing healthy about this" meal. It was a Bavarian summer sausage (ground, seasoned and stuffed by me) smoked for 6 hours with Pecan wood providing the smoke. The sausage was placed in a Bavarian sweet wheat “bun” made from deep fried bread, with Munster cheese, spicy hot mustard and washed sour-kraut. The garnish was fresh made tortilla chips with a fresh Pico de gallo, both made by me.

We won with a PERFECT SCORE! Only 4/1000 of a point in front of second place!

 The pic is posted in my profile. The RnY was only a minor problem as I would take a mouth full of food, chew it well then spit it out into a paper towel so I really didn't eat that much. I lost 4# that day but I am sure most of that was water loss. I have since gained 1 1/2 # of that back but it is still a loss of 2 1/2 #!

Oh BTW, I am the one in the middle! The big guy is my buddies son and the guy on the other side of me is my bud. We have hung with each other since 1970 and each is as close as any family member could be to the other.

I have talked to Mike (the son) about surgery but he is not receptive to it. All I can do is provide an example to him of what CAN be done about obesity and the help that is out there.

Glad you're out and about and looking good. But, boy, you have made me HONGRY! (I know, I know . . . it's "only head hunger.") Congrats on the win.

Cal,  I like the clarification you made. "BTW, I am the one in the middle." As if any of us would think you were the biggest of the three.  One has to be ready to make a change, to be receptive to it.
