Reflections on a year
Howdy Gents,
I'm not one for long winded speechifying, but I want to recognize my anniversary of surgery and thank all the guys on this board for your continued support/challenges/sharing.
Down 230 pounds in a year from 525 to 295. I'm still losing about 10 pounds a month. Exercising an average of eight hours a week at the gym. I recently purchased a bicycle and am re-learning how to ride. I'm off my blood pressure medication completely and now only take post surgery supplements daily.
I stopped at an Eddie Bauer outlet store on the way to my vacation last week and bought 2x swim trunks and 42 shorts. I'm fitting comfortably in 2x shirts.
I get to play with my two girls actively now. I'm not as embarassed to go shirtless at our pool.
My life has improved in countless ways as a result of this surgery. If not a literal lifesaver, then definitely a quality of lifesaver.
One year pics on my profile if you want to peep them.

Hi Dan,
Great pics! You look healthy and happy--and no wonder, you've made some impressive changes both for yourself and for your family. What better gift could you give your daughters?
Thanks for sharing your successes and for your posts.
