My first CT/scan FART

Well for the first time in my life, I was small enough to have a ct/scan done. Over the last 20 years or so anytime I have had a medical problem they never could do a ct scan because of my size, and never got a proper diagnosis. Well a few weeks ago I had some blood in my urine and some unusual pain in my pouch. The last month or so it seemed like I was able to eat a lot more than I had in the pass. Then last week it felt like my pouch did a 180 and just a bit or two of food would make me feel full and even kind of sick feeling. Then on Tuesday morning I woke up with the worst pain in the area of my pouch I have ever experienced, it hurt so bad even after managing to take some pain meds I couldn’t even move for about an half an hour. I called my WLS office and he sent me in for the ct scan. I fit in the ct machine with no problem. One thing that impressed me was that I had to drink some stuff before the test and I was thinking I hope the stuff doesn’t have sugar in it, when they brought it to me the nurse said since I had WLS they knew I couldn’t have the drink with sugar so I had my choice of crystal light to mix in with it, but it still tasted gross. Now I have wait to see what the results of the test find. One good thing out of all this, not being able to eat as much as I had been I dropped 15 pounds this week.

Congratulations Alan! The MRI is absolutely ‘roomy’ now-a-days. J So, when do they give you the- "Oh, that pain? It’s nothing, this little pill…blah, blah, blah?" Hope it’s a simple remedy! Best Wishes- Dx

Good luck with the diagnosis and big congrats on fitting in the CT scanner. "Normal" folks have no idea what it's like to have to worry about things like "fitting" into medical devices, hospital gowns, etc. The post-op relief of not having the extra worries of our pre-op sizes is one of the best benefits of WLS. I hope you get fixed up easily and soon.
