Where have you been? 50 mile check in - June

Hey Scott, Not a full marathon, but I'm signed up to do the half-marathon at Disney in January.  Need to get in a couple of 10-milers in September and October.  As long as I beat my previous time of 2:40, I'll feel like I've accomplished something. Rob

Rob, That is awesome.  I am also doing the Disney half.  I even talked my ex intodoing it with me.  I actually signed up for the Goofy but am thinking that may be a bit ambitious.  Too late now.  Are you making a vacation out of it or is it a quick trip.  Well talk. Scott

I'm still looking to do a 13K in Oct and a 8K in Nov, both in Richmond VA.  Mileage right now is really down and I gotten get it going again.  I think I've only gone out 3 times this month, 4 miles at a time (12 miles o the 19; really sad). But the shed addition that has been droning on since March and has been consuming the majority of my free time is almost at completion.  Finish painting and moving in the junk from other locations and that project is in the books. I figure its getting to be time to get serious about upcoming runs if I am gong to improve my performance.  I am a little lighter now than in  March and can jog farther.  I just want to keep increasing that so I can jog the entire distance rather than walking a majority. Thanks for helping to keep me motivated with this regular post and all the guys that participate.  Related FART!  - Due to my body tranformation, I actually had a friend come to me about supplements and workout routine for his 20 yr old son to bulk up for upcoming football season as he is going to try to walk on somewhere after leaving his Div II scholarship college team last year.  I was honored they wanted my input.  This kid is a recovering Cancer patient from his senior year in HS that almost killed him.  To have even been on team last year and not get cut or redshirted is remarkable.  I used some of the info I gathered from the (not)Dave's, CarbonBlob, and AJ's out here. (see you guys are famous and helping others!)
