Where have you been? 50 mile check in - June
Howdy Gents!
Been on vacation for the past week plus and just getting back to the routine today. Inspired by A.J.P and the other bike riders on this board, I bought a bike a week ago Saturday and have been working on figuring out how that works. It's a nice machine, but so many gears and switches! It's going to take me awhile to figure it all out. Anyway, here are my numbers thus far for June: Miles last month: 126 Miles through 6/18/07 - 45 miles (36.5 eliptical/treadmill, 8.5 biking) Milage goal for June - 100 miles Percent towards June goal completed - 45% Percent of month completed: 60% I'll need to step things up a bit to complete my goal for the month. Just under two weeks now. It'll take some doing. Maybe having my bike will help towards the overall goal. Would love to hear how you're progressing for the month thus far. Stronger everyday. -Dan
Total | 68.48 |
Percent of Goal | 85.60% |
Days Walked | 13 |
Monthly Goal in Miles | 80 |
Average per day | 5.267692 | |
Maximum | 7.3 | |
Minimum | 3.19 |
I was wonedrin' where you'd gone... Hope you had a good time on vacation. Glad I could, in some small way, contribute to your decision to purchase a new bike. After all these years, it'll take a little time to get used to riding & shifting again. But, everything will come back to you eventually... kinda like riding a bike (oh, wait... )
Okay, on to business:
As usual, no mileage goals for me during the Tri season...
Just getting the required work in to prepare for each race.
Here are my numbers
Miles last month: 257
Miles June 1 - June 18: 178 miles
139 Bike / 21 Run / 5 Swim / 13 Elliptical
Nothing big happening for the next month... just a few scattered 5 & 10K races once in a while and a whole lot of hard training for The New Jersey Olympic Distance Triathlon on July 22nd
1 Mile Swim / 25 Mile Bike / 10K Run
I'm also registered for another Olympic Distance Tri in Maryland over the last weekend in August. I'll be ending the race season with a Half Marathon in October.
Then the real fun begins... Heavy off-season training to build a base for my very first Half IronMan 70.3 (1.2 Mile Swim / 56 Mile Bike / 13.1 Mile Run) next May.
So, that's my story
See Ya At The Finish Line.
Be Well,
A.J.
Hey Dan, Glad to see you back! I’ve been a non-poster to this thread for a while, But I’m gonna jump back in hoping it’ll give me the motivation to get back to increasing my exercise back to what it was before last summer. My running suks, near non-existent these days… But, because it’s become a little ritual for me and the wife, I am still getting in about 15 to 16 miles of walking a week. 1 mile almost every morning… Monday/Wednesday and Saturday- 3 to 4 miles walking. So far in June?- 44 miles! I actually ran 3 of those. I’m gonna shoot to get that running back up to my previous standard! Thanks for the Challenge! Best Wishes- Dx
