Hi guys, I'll keep this brief........I go in for my RNY tomorrow morning, and I just wanted to thank you all for all you've shared with me over the past few months.  I'm very thankful that this part of my journey is coming to a close and it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if it weren't for the great guys in this forum.   Now, I can't wait to fart my brains out with the rest of you LOSERS!  See you all on the other side, Bill

Good luck tommorow, don't worry - you Will(iam) B Fine! After your surgery, you will wake up a little soar, but everything will be great, you will be on the losers side, you'll still have your little guy to look forward to coming home to, and the Soxxx will still be in first (me - big schilling fan, since the days he led my D-Backs past The Evil Empire). Go get 'em! "3-2 count, the payoff pitch, and Bill hits a high fly ball, deep to left towards The Green Monster, it's back, back, back......."

My thoughts will be with you. I am two weeks post-op, down 23lbs and I feel fantastic.  I am sure that you will  get throught this with no problems.  Be sure to do your walking and breathing exersizes for a faster recovery. There is a space on the Loser's Bench waiting for you. Oh!  Don't forget to flirt with the nurse's.  If you make them smile you can get lots of extra............

Hi Bill When I woke up after the surgery the worst pain I had was from the staples from the largest incision. I remembered what Dx told me about staying ahead of the pain.  When they came to ask about pain I told them yes until they knocked the edge off. When I got in my room and they hooked me up to a pump I hit the button every twenty minutes.  Two and a half or three hours after surgery I told my wife to help me get up and I went for a walk. I think staying ahead of the pain was what helped me get up and get moving. The walking helped me with the pain and getting the gas moving.  Wont be long you will be farting and FARTing, both are good.  pan head
