Welcome Frank,
I am going to jump in here and tell you that I have had no complications at all. My surgery only took 45 minutes, I got my self up and walking about three hours after surgery and I have followed my surgeons instructions. For some reason I have been blessed. In the hospital I told my wife I was going to be the poster boy for this surgery. She told me that I would be the one that they all forgot about because I did so well and was not a problem for them, of course she was right. But I will take it. I stayed off from work for two weeks but I could have went back after one. This past thursday was six months and I have lost 149 lbs. I just wanted to let you and others know that some people do get through without complications. Good luck.

I had no issues what-so-ever. I hope that you get posts like this also so you dont just get all the ones that have had problems and come to think that everyones has them. I would say its a crap shoot but its really depends on the person and surgeon. Good luck and I will keep you in my thoughts for a non occurance surgery.
I believe what MaryLyn said fits it for me. My insurance only covered up to 25k worth of bariatric surgery I had life threaten complications my total bill's were close to 350k which my insurance covered 80% of it. The left over is setting on my credit report in a nice neat file. I refused to pay my first hospital bill because I feel like they sent me home even when I told them I did not feel well. The second hospital is on an payment agreement. Good Luck
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and you'll have their shoes.
