I don't know that figures into it. Sort of like circumcision. Not a conversation that comes up in casual conversation... Yes? If you can afford it, and they are an issue? Go For It. I work in the OR and when we do these procedures, called gynecomastia (enlarged breast tissue in men) they usually make an incision around the nipple and excise it out of that cut. Now I guess if you have huge mitties then you may get a big scar but for the most part you shouldn't get a scar like a true female breast reduction would.
The other thing is that in most men, even those who have not had major weight loss but just have large breats, get it covered by insurance because it is a "medical condition".
