WELL, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Well guys, today's my birthday, and I just got the present I was really hoping for.  I just got off the phone with my insurance, and they've given their OK for my  RnY!!!!!  Don't know any more details yet, but  DAMN THE TORPEDOES!  FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!      

What great news to receive on your birthday!!! You will be off to the races soon. Do you know how long it typically takes your clinic to get you into surgery from this point? For me it was only three weeks....Happy Birthday!

Woah,  Congrads !!!! That was a pretty dang exciting day for me.  I am really glad for our. Let the games begin!!

Thanks, guys!!!  I was REALLY hoping I'd find out by yesterday, and by golly, I did!  Does that qualify for a pre-surgery FART?  Have not talked to surgeon's office since I got the word late yesterday, but I DO have a tentative date of August 31st.  It could probably be sooner, but we've got a long-planned vacation right in the middle of August, and I don't really want to be half the country away from my surgeon, hoofing it around Washington DC in the heat, with brand-new plumbing, you know?   I'm going to use the next two months to lose a few more pounds old-school, and walk as much as possible. But the surgery is MUCH more real now, not just academic.  That's mostly good, but in truth, a little scary too!  

OK, got the date:  August 22nd, 10 AM.  Eight weeks from today.  I will be deep in la-la land, and Dr. Cacucci will be deep in my gut, getting intimate with parts of me that my wife has never seen!    I'm psyched  and nervous  at the same time.  Is that like having constipation and diarrhea at the same time?
