my own "should'a passed on this" food this past weekend, was salted toasted corn...you know the kind I mean? they deep fry ( I think? ) corn niblets, till they blow up real big, salt the heck outta them and then bag them up by the lb and sell them around the corner at our local peanut store.
I do try to avoid them...but when I have a REAL salt craving, I stop and buy a pack...and Sunday, I ate about 1/2 the bag all by myself....
confessions are good for the soul, eh?
hope so!

I've had a spoonfull or two of SF ice cream and a probably a total of 4 small brownies since surgery, a swallow or two of diet cola here and there but not a single cheeseburger I use to knock out 2-3, sometimes 4 per sitting. The NUT from support group said if you're having the cravings or fantisies about such things, it may be better to give it taste and see if it is really is as terrific as you remember. I can honestly say that approach has worked for me. I have no craving for ice cream and I use to-die for Beyers Mint Chocolate chip (haven't had a bit since surgery). nosoda craving and use to live off Diet Coke. I love a good cold water most.
My bad consumption is, strawberry or cherry pop tarts. I tried one last weekend and one turned to 4 (two cellophane packs). So they are on my black list. I didn't dump but had terrible sinus attack,..I think white flour/sugar allergy type reaction. If I cannot control them, that are a can't do that item.
That is how I am dealing with flaws. I have learned I can eat a (as in one), small brownie, but can control being happy with just one, once in a while, not every meal or every day.
So my bad food this past week was a pop-tart encounter.
Yesterday and today are my wife's and my 38th birthdays respectfully. So Sunday night we got a sitter and went out to diner - alone to the Cheesecake Factory. Anyway after eating my 3 oz or so of my Chicken Maderia (not mash pot. just the chkn) i was stuffed. But Stephanie wanted desert, so she ordered Strawberry Shortcake with vanilla ice cream and man was it good and sweet - it made my eye roll back into my head from the sugar rush since I really never have any sugar except special moments lke this. I had about 4 spoons full and I was ready to - well you know. But I kept it all. I had come off a week of eating perfectly and measuring everything so I really didn't feel guilty.
I wish I had dumping so I would not even want to try it.
