Thanks, definitely don't want to have to squeeeeze into anything. The jeans are comfortable now. Hitting the gym, hitting the track. Hitting the protein!

You're doing fabulous, and are indeed an inspiration to me that I need to bump up my exercise/activity another few notches.  How much protein are you consuming daily to maintain your muscle?  Just curious, as I've been thinking about increasing my protein levels. --Dave

BMI Baby indeed! Congratulations! Dave, you gotta stick a before in this thread so folks can see how truly amazing your change has been! You look Super! Those veins are a junkie’s Dream!! A clear indication of the awesomely lean body fat %. NOW, For you next trick? You got the Body in top draw condition, so distance running? Or will you push the next couple of years to become fluent in Russian and Italian to go with the Japanese? The nearly super human ability that the "Do-Over" of WLS gives us allows those with the drive to achieve some mighty impressive feats. You clearly have. Now the trick will be keeping that body into your mid-80’s! Keep it Up! Best Wishes- Dx

Thanks, Dx! No new athletic feats for me. The sprinting is probably going to be the final frontier. I used to do long triathlons and I'm sure I could whip my old 32-34 year old triathlon a$$ at the sport right now without any training.

I'm also beginning to believe that steady-state cardio alone actually breaks down the muscles and *causes* weight gain over the long haul, so that probably won't be a personal endeavor in the future.

My biggest dream is to be a really good guitarist or maybe good on keyboards, but I don't know if I'll find the time or energy. If I pick up the keyboards, I'll have to be a lot more visual and methodical the first couple of years than I was with the guitar. I'm still trying to break a lot of old habits developed from being an ear-player and improviser back in my teenage years.

Yeah, I'm wonder, barring an injury, where this strength and fitness is all going to end? The more I do, the fewer pulls and little sticks I get in my muscles (now nonexistent when I lift, even four times a day). What happens? When I hit my 50's or 60's am I suddenly not going to be able to maintain this?

Are my rotator cuffs, hips, knees or back finally going to give out. Heart valves? Am I just going to get smaller after I reach 65? I never thought I could get where I am at 45, so it will be interesting to see what surprises are in store.

Best Wishes,

Dave

Hi Russ,

That's her. She's great! For some odd reason, she actually gets a kick when other women give me attention. Guess that's  true emotional security! (other women, being wayyyy tooo young! Anyone in my age range , in an everyday situation is pretty much too emotionally detached to care - no matter how you look).

Jeans are 32. Old, old Kleins.

Might want to wait a week or two to work out after PS!

I saw Garion. He looks great doesn't he? Another Virginia fellow. Felt a little funny recommending that he do sprints. It's great for advanced resistance trainers, though.

Best Wishes,

Dave

CB, you the man! You've been working out longer than all of us. Me? I've just got that rock-totin' West Virginia DNA that lets me work out four times a day and still grow.

Slaves? My ancestors didn't need 'em. They were for mint-julep sipping pansies lol!

Grandaddy's hobby was literally, removing rocks from his sloped field. He carried them to the top. If you know anything about WVa, there are so many rocks in the soil, that the weeds can't even make it to the surface in the summer - makes for great hiking in the woods!

So anyone who bred in WVa probably had considerable capacity to do physical work.

Talk to You Soon,

Dave
