Watermelon junkie!
Wifey brought home a watermelon last night and being 2 1/2 months post-op I decided to have me some. Then some more. Then another 2 or 3 bites. So very very good. I was worried that it would make me dump but I was fine with it. Anyone have trouble with it? It will be just an occasional thing for me.
Thanks.
My name is Danny and I'm a FRUITAHOLIC!
Seriously......I have discovered that fruit does not bother me. The only thing I have to be a little careful with is bannanas and strawberries. Those seem to be super sugary for me for some reason.
But melon...........watermelon, cantalope, honeydew.........stand back!! I'm goin in!
I actually find myself craving fresh fruit now. That's a new experience for me. I was never much of a fruit eater pre-op unles it had been deep fried or wrapped in a pie crust!

He Guys,
I can be totally stupid with watermellon..it goes down smooth...even it it ain't sweet...splends will fix that....
but i have a tendency to go overboard, then it's like drinking a lot of tea...I fill up all the way from the bottom..
but no cantalope.....oh no....I don;t dump, but that **** is juicy, and slippery, and it wants to slide down unchewed....it just kinda slips past me...and makes me yak!!!
you boys enjoy the summer fruit
russ
I started eating watermelon and cantaloupe at about 3 months out and have been eating it occasionally ever since with no problems. Now I am hooked on dill pickles.

It's funny that you posted this, because I was about to post a fruit -related strain.
I have eaten watermelon many times over the past month. It seems to sit really well. Nice and hydrating.
Yesterday my wife and I stopped by the local Hmong strawberry stand. Since they were some of the best strawberries I've ever eaten, we decided to buy and freeze a few flats. They're great for smoothies.
As I stemmed them and placed them on the tray to freeze them I popped a few into my mouth. THen a few more...more..more. I WAS LIKE AN ADDICT! I must have eaten two full baskets while I was working. It was mildly disturbing, but oh so delicious. Luckilly strawberrries are very low in sugars, so I didn't dump. phew.
It's funny how after avoiding sugar like the plague for 6 months now, fruits taste so much better.
