IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!
I wonder why some guys shoot down to their goal weight while others struggle to get those last 20 or so to come off? I'm lucky to have been able to have the surgery, when some can't, to give my body a tool to help take the weight off. I'm only 10 months out, still got another 8 months before the ride is over. Maybe my body is re-adjusting, it sure is taking it's sweet time, if that's what is happening. I admit that I don't exercise, like I should anyway. My diet is not perfect, but I do try to eat healthy. The only avenue I haven't explored is lowering my diet to under 20 carbs per day. That will be the last ditch effort.
Good luck "GAINING"! If you need pointers, I'm sure any of the guys on this board will be glad to share some tips.

You can do whatever you want to with the right tools. Weight under control with your RNY tool - now you have the degree which is also a tool. Your time will come and you will find a great job in the field you desire. I am sure getting your Master's will be a great help.
All the best you "loser"!!

Hey Dex,
"....particularly keep going for a job you’d do for free
if you didn’t have to worry about a paycheck...."
Probably the single best piece of advise anyone has ever given me! That "do it for free" job, for me, is photography and video editing. I have a broadcasting (photography and editing) and a safety degree. I would only do safety if the money is right, photography and editing, I would accept any reasonable offer for either of those, regardless of pay.
Oh, and hell yes, I do rock!!

At 10 months out you should not be done losing weight. Try changing things up a bit (diet, exercise, water intake, etc.)
These are the things that I have found directly cause me to stop my weight loss.
1. Too much snacking (healthy or unhealthy snacks)
2. No exercise
3. Less than 70 ounces of water intake per day
4. Higher intake of salty foods
At almost 12 months out I am still losing weight (2 lbs this week) but I clearly remember some very lenthy plateaus during the last 12 months that were very frustrating.
I've switched to eating several small meals to stop the snacking. My intake of fluids is fine. I don't really like salty foods, like I did pre-op, so that's not really a problem. The exercise department could use an overhaul though. I need to get back to something a little more regular.
Thanks for the input.
