Off to my first Support group meeting

 Wish me luck. I am sure it will be interesting.  I am giving up watching game 5 of Stanley Cup finals for this, you know I am one bitter SOB tonight. The nice part is its only a few miles from Anaheim So I may get cuaght up in the celebration.  I am going to meet with a potential VSG Surgeon and hopefully get things back on track.

 All was well. Very small group only 7 people. Its a new groups just starting up I guess they had 10 lst time. I got to talk to the Dr for along time and exchange alot info. I had alot he didn't have on some stuff I picked up here that he was intersted in and of course he was full of info. In the end he will be my surgeon eventually. He gave some names of Primary Drs that refer to him and are WLS friendly. I need to make sure they are "IN" and switch to them to get the ball rolling. Didn't have the catty women at all two were 5+ year post op and full of great info. I doubt I'll go bac****il I am post-op but well worth the 2hrs spent.

I went to one last night at a nearby hospital. It was a huge group, about 75 people. It was pretty good, the estrogen dominance wasn't too bad. The hilight of the night was watching a woman turn beet red as her husband stood up and started telling everybody there how much of a better lay she has been since she has been losing weight. The other cool thing was that since I have been going for three months now, I am noticing the weight loss on some of the people, and some of them noticed mine too, that was kind of cool. There were some flirty girls in there too, but I'm married (although I subscribe to what an old man told me a long time ago "A married man looking at other women is like being on a diet, it's OK to look at the menu, just don't give in and eat what you're forbidden to.")
