Tomorrow I'll be a Loser!
I am schedualed for surgery at 0730 Tuesday. As I have said in a past thread this is just one more time under the knife so no big deal. Go in, get rearranged, follow the docs orders, go home and get well.
My heads on straight, work and the house is in order, I have everything I think I'll need for the next couple of weeks and if I need something extra one of the kids will get it for me. So I'm set.
I have been walking up to two miles a day with the dog and I have a daily exercise routine. I have lost 29 lbs and am feeling very good and am excited about the whole WLS program. I informed my doc that I was going to be one of his star patients and he said that he would hold me to that promise.
There is always that small voice in the back of my head that say's you don't really need this operation since I'm already losing weight, but my smart brain knows that I will get hungry and dive back into the food trough again.
WLS is the tool I need to get help me get back on the road to good health. It is up to me to use that tool wisely.
I'll give y'all an update when I get home.
PapaBear,
Good luck on your big day tomorrow, I hope everything goes just as uneventfully as possible. Have fun on your pain meds and keep those nurses smiling - I know you will. Make sure to stop in to the locker room when you have questions - no matter how dumb or gross you think the question might be. Welcome to the rest of your life!
Good luck tomorrow, it will be over before you know it and you will be ready for the start of your new life. Your seat on the losers bench is waiting.
